Why Mews?

Mews / (mjuːz) /

noun

a street or small area surrounded by houses that were originally built as stables.

Like “Mariposa,” “Mews” is a word borrowed from the West. It was used to describe the transformation of the aristocracy’s stables into closely linked houses - the practice of breathing new life into the old bones of a space, filling it with new purpose. We took the word as inspiration as we built our pocket of clean air and green in the center of our country’s concrete capital.

What makes a healthy home?

The LEED for Homes certification process rigorously rates every stage of a property’s design and development for sustainable building practices. Our efforts to minimize environmental harm and ensure energy efficiency passed their evaluation at every turn.

Fresh Air Filtration

Access to healthy indoor air is vital. We filter and freshen the air outside and circulate it to every unit in the building.

Eco-friendly Insulation

Our building envelope has a lower environmental impact and is 15x better-insulated than a conventional build.

No VOCs Allowed

Our build materials contain minimal to no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to ensure reduced health risks.

Low-Impact Air Conditioning

Our Variable Refrigerant Flow systems are 40% more efficient than traditional inverter systems.

We're a convergence of architects, designers and engineers, committed to creating inspired, healthy homes in an environmentally responsible manner.
